Did you know? Black birthing people are 3-4x more likely to experience preventable maternal health complications. We’re here to change that.
The Doula Difference:
Black birthing people are three to four times more likely to face life-threatening complications during childbirth. Doulas provide a vital lifeline—offering advocacy, emotional support, and expertise to create safer, more empowering birth experiences. At Lightbourn Doula Care, birthwork is justice work.
Birthwork as Justice:
My journey from organizing and advocacy to birthwork is rooted in a deep commitment to Black feminist principles.
